We often get asked about our social media. We used to do alot on Twitter but it appears noone uses it anymore or ever since it transitioned to X. We've moved to Bluesky and find that is very much like Twitter used to be although noone seems to use that either - at least not in the UK.
Facebook ditto.
Tiktok - no idea. Getting Phil in front of a camera is not going to happen. He has a face for radio.
Instagram - trying to use this but don't understand why our stories seem to disappear after just a few days. We did a hamper competition but our listing expired before we got any entrants! Need to perservere with this one.
The bottom line is that you either want our stuff or you don't.
No videos of us holding products or jigging round the polytunnels is going to change that. We can offer plenty of advice on growing chillies - been doing it since 1992 when the nursery first started and commercially since 2007 as a dedicated chilli farm.
We are still the original owners. A husband and wife team doing the growing, cooking, picking, packing, websales, market sales, trade sales, deliveries and daily nursery chores.
We also have the PROJECTS page on the website which has two downloadable files - one is all about growings chillies successfully and the other is what to do with your crop.
We know our products are good and we are always tweaking them to make them even better such as the inclusion of fresh peaches in the Fruity Habanero and fresh mangoes in the Dartmoor Dragon. We get plenty of feedback from customers saying how much they have enjoyed the goblin, blackcurrant and Reaper salt. The latter is Phil's favourite product.
We always try and remain competitive on price. Our products were 3 for £10 for 18 years and have only just become 3 for £12 due to price rises on the bottles, oil, labels, shrink sleeves, gas, ingredients, salts and Rapeseed Oil. Everything in the world has gone up in price but up until a month ago, our products have remained the same price. Even so our competitors prices seem to range from £5 to £10 per sauce. Whereas we are £4.25 for the oils and sauces and jam and only £3.00 for the chocolate despite a huge rise in the price of cacao.
We don't spend a fortune on advertising. We rely more on word of mouth. We certainly don't pay for Google adverts so our site can rank higher than our competitors even if searching for them. We actually find this a bit sneaky.
It's probably also why we don't go to markets where there are other chilli producers in the same area. We deliberately don't do say Kingsbridge or Bristol as we don't want to step on the toes of other producers. It is a shame that others don't feel the same way and book things right on our doorstep.
We offer free bike delivery within 5 miles of the farm. Who else does this?? Order online. We will refund your delivery charge and Phil will bike it over to your door.
The best thing is to come and see us at one of the markets we attend and then you can sample the entire range of sauces and chocolate that we offer.

We have had to slightly increase our to £4.25 from £3.95. The reason is that EVERYTHING has gone up in price unlike our prices. For example chocolate, sea salt, bottles, labels and Rapeseed Oil have all risen since 2025 by at least 20%
We have held our old price on the chocolate 🍫
